The trade reports say that Saguni, which was supposed to release on July 6, has reportedly been advanced to June 22. Though the exact reasons have not been revealed, it is believed that Kamal Hassan starrer Vishwaroobham, which is expected to hit the screens on July 12, forced the makers of Karthi's film to reschedule the date.
It is also surprising to note that neither in the print ads nor other promotional materials, the dates of the release of both the film have been announced. But the buzz is that in some of the Malaysian dailies, the dates of the release have been announced as June 22.
Saguni, which is a political-thriller starring Karthi and Pranitha, will be censored today and promotions of the film will kick-start shortly. On the other end, Billa 2, a gangster film starring Ajith and Parvathy Omanakuttan, will go for the censor test in the middle of the week.
