seems
to
have
finally
managed
to
sign
forthcoming
Tamil
film
Kochadaiyaan.
The
actress
has
reportedly
given
her
nod
to
play
the
female
lead
role,
which
was
also
offered
to
several
Bollywood
actresses
including
Katrina
Kaif.
"Deepika
Padukone
has
been
confirmed
as
heroine
in
Kochadaiyaan," film
unit
sources
said.
It
may
be
recalled
that
the
actress,
who
was
roped
in
for
Rajinikanth's
Rana,
found
it
difficult
to
allot
the
dates
after
the
movie
got
delayed
following
the
superstar's
illness.
Later,
Soundarya
Rajinikanth
announced
that
Rana
was
postponed
till
August
and
Rajinikanth
would
be
working
in
Kochadaiyaan
before
starting
the
former.
She
started
the
casting
process
from
the
scratch
and
approached
several
top
Bollywood
actresses,
as
Deepika
Padukone
had
date
issues.
However,
Kochadaiyaan
also
features
Sneha,
Sarath
Kumar,
Shobana,
Aadhi,
Jackie
Shroff
in
the
cast.
It
has
AR
Rahman's
music
and
Rajiv
Menon's
cinematography.
