Kumki off to a flying start at Box Office

Vikram Prabhu's launchpad Kumki has done an amazing business at the Tamil Nadu Box Office in the opening weekend. Despite getting a huge competition from Gautham Menon's Neethane En Ponvasantham, the newcomer's film has got good response from all section of audience.

Trade reports say that Vikram Prabhu's Kumki has been grandly welcomed by Sivaji Ganeshan's fans as they wanted to see the debutant's performance. With positive reviews and good word-of-mouth emerging out on the release day, audience did not lose out an opportunity to see the film in the opening weekend.

On the opening day, Kumki has collected Rs 3.63 crore (nett) in Tamil Nadu on the first day followed by Rs 3.25 crore (nett) on the second. The first two days collection stands at Rs 6.88 crore, which is a wonderful figure for a newcomer.

Kumki has impressed both mass and class. In the first three days, the film has made a strong statement and Vikram Prabhu has got a dream start to his career. The film is directed by Prabhu Solomon and also features Lakshmi Menon and Thambi Ramaiah.
