Lingusamy's Vettai doing wonders at Tamil Box Office

Lingusamy's
Vettai,
which
was
released
two
days
after
Nanban,
has
got
an
overwhelming
response
from
the
audience.
Well,
this
has
made
the
cash
register
ringing
thereby
making
good
collections
at
the
Tamil
Box
Office.
Vettai
was
released
in
440
theatres
in
India
(in
Tamil
Nadu
–
260)
and
in
110
theatres
overseas.
While
the
movie
has
earned
Rs
14
crore
in
four
days
at
the
Domestic
Box
Office,
it
has
collected
close
to
Rs
1.5
crore
at
the
International
Market.
The
total
collection
of
the
film
stands
at
Rs
15.5
crore.
The
multi-starrer
opened
up
to
85%
occupancy
on
the
release
date
followed
by
90%
on
Sunday.
The
movie
not
only
ran
packed
houses
in
the
single
screens
but
also
in
multiplexes
in
the
metros.
On
an
average,
the
per
screen
collection
of
Vettai
comes
close
to
Rs
3.40
crore
in
India,
claims
a
source.
In
the
UK
Box
Office,
Vettai
has
earned
£17,605
(Rs
13.86
lacs)
in
its
first
weekend.
The
film
is
generating
£1,174
per
show
in
15
screens.
Whereas,
in
the
US
and
Canada,
the
Tamil
film
has
done
excellent
business.
It
has
approximately
collected
$87,921
(approx.
Rs
44.59
lacs)
in
34
screens.
The
per
screen
average
per
show
stands
at
$2,586.
The
film
has
been
released
in
six
screens
in
Australia
and
it
has
managed
to
collect
A$7,791
(approx.
Rs
4.13
lacs).
On
an
average,
it
is
working
out
to
A$1,299.
