Maattrraan rocks at Box Office on day one

Surya's Maattrraan has opened up to mixed reviews from critics and audience. However, the film, as expected, has got a great opening at the Box Office.

The film, which was released in more than 1,200 screens worldwide on Friday (October 12), has got amazing response from the Ghajini's star's fans. In Tamil Nadu, as per the latest trade reports, Maattrraan has been released in over 500 screens and in Chennai alone, it has been released in 32 screens.

The Tamil movie has witnessed around 90% occupancy in most of the theatres on the release day in Chennai and an average of 70% in Tamil Nadu. The early reports emerging from Andhra Pradesh and other countries also reveal that Maattrraan has been welcomed grandly by the Surya's fans. However, the exact figure of the first day collection is yet to be revealed.

Maattrraan is directed by KV Anand and produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram. The highlight of the movie is Surya's magnificent performance and the decent storyline.
