Did Nayantara reject The Dirty Picture for remuneration reasons?

Is Nayantara acting pricey? May be, yes, says the buzz. The actress, who is making her comeback with a bang, is in great demand and in order to cash in on it, the Billa girl seems to have turned expensive for the producers. Well, for the Tamil version of The Dirty Picture, she has asked a whopping remuneration, which made the makers of the film to search for the other options.

Rumours are rife that Nayantara demanded Rs 2.5 crore to act in The Dirty Picture remake. The amount would have been highest-ever paid remuneration for a South actress and the makers of the film were not keen on shelling out such an amount on the actress. Apart from this, Nayan also laid some conditions. Hence, the deal did not materialise, claims a report.

However, Nayantara's spokesperson has denied the reports and claimed that The Dirty Picture offer has not come her way and they have not met anyone to discuss about the forthcoming movie. Meanwhile, the movie bosses are likely to rope in Nikita Thukral of Saroja fame to play the real life role of Silk Smitha played by Vidya Balan in the original.
