undoubtedly
capturing
the
South
market.
After
bagging
the
audio
rights
of
this
year's
biggies
like
Billa
2,
Maattrraan
and
Neethaane
En
Ponvasantham,
it
has
now
procured
the
rights
of
Rajinikanth's
magnum
opus
Kochadaiyaan
for
a
good
price.
The
news
has
been
confirmed
by
Sony
Music
on
Twitter.
"This
piece
of
news
is

true
-
We
finally
have
the
rights
to
Superstar
Rajinikanth's
Kochadaiyaan.
Music
is
being
composed
by
AR
Rahman," tweeted
Sony
Music
south.
"We
are
extremely
excited
to
be
associated
with
one
of
the
biggest
projects
that
not
only
appeals
to
the
audiences
in
the
south
but
to
fans
all
over
the
world.
With
such
an
incredible
star
cast
and
India's
best
music
director,
the
movie
positions
itself
to
be
a
wholesome
entertainer," the
Hindu
quoted
Ashok
Parwani,
Associate
Director
-
Marketing
at
Sony
Music
Entertainment,
as
saying.
It
is
said
that
the
audio
company
has
acquired
the
rights
for
a
good
price.
The
deal
has
been
reportedly
struck
by
Sony
Music
for
more
than
a
crore
and
a
half
considering
its
release
in
three
languages.
However,
Kochadaiyaan
is
bringing
the
formidable
duo
of
Rajinikanth
and
AR
Rahman,
which
has
given
hits
like
Sivaji
and
Endhiran.
Kochadaiyaan
starring
Rajinikanth
and
Deepika
Padukone
is
directed
by
Soundarya
Ashwin.
The
movie
is
expected
to
hit
the
screens
on
a
historical
date
12.12.12
(December
12,
2012)
that
coincides
with
Rajini's
birthday.
