Superstar Rajinikanth's Sivaji directed by Shankar is getting ready for 3D release. The trailer of the 3D version was released yesterday (August 13) in Chennai.

Speaking at the occasion, Rajinikanth said that he was not aware of Sivaji being converted to 3D until 15 days ago. The makers of the film kept it as a secret and he was amazed when he saw the movie in 3D. But he did not see the complete movie, as he watched the colourful songs of the film thrice. He also thanked Shankar and AVM Saravanan and Guhan for making it in 3D.

The superstar further added that he wishes that his movies like Endhiran and Padayappa will also be converted to 3D, as Rajinikanth believes that the movies are worth watching in it. However, around 400 people worked in multiple shifts to convert the film to 3D. However, Sivaji is likely to release in September in maximum number of screens.

Sivaji is a political-thriller directed by Shankar. It had AR Rahman's music and it was produced by MS Guhan-M Sarvanan. The movie featured Shriya Saran and Suman in the key roles. The movie tells the story of a NRI, who comes to India to do something good to the society. But falls into the trap of politician's devised plan to lose out all his properties.
