Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan to release on 12.12.12

Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan will be seeing the light of day on a unique day. Well, the magnum opus, which was earlier announced to be releasing on Diwali, is likely to release on 12.12.12, which also coincides with the superstar's birthday (December 12).

The latest buzz in the industry suggests that the makers of the film have zeroed in on the special day, which is the last of its kind in this century. They have also planned to release the audio in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, where the superstar has a huge fan following.

The interesting part of the story is that the makers of the film have sealed a special deal with a mobile manufacturing company. The outcome of the deal is that over five lakh mobiles will have an embedded behind-the-scene clippings and the film's trailer. On the back of the phones, Rajinikanth's autograph can also been seen, confirms a source.

Kochadaiyaan starring Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone is directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. The 3D film has been shot using Motion Capture Technology. Rajini plays an eighth century Pandya king who is known for his legendary valour.
