Shalini Ajith Kumar to play state level badminton

Shalini Ajith Kumar was seeded second, both in the doubles and mixed doubles at the rating tournament held in Trichy. She bagged the runners up position in not just the Women's doubles but also in the mixed doubles through her valiant and extraordinary efforts with partners Priya and Prakash.

Her motivation led her to a new high last Sunday (19.08.12). Now, the top ranked players will clash in the State Level Badminton championships to be held in Nagercoil later this month and it has started attracting wide attention after Shalini, who was ranked in the top, confirmed her participation. The former actress believes that this is a huge achievement for her.

Shalini says that she has been working hard since two years and gives credit for her success to her hubby Ajith Kumar who set up a badminton court in their home so that she could practice the game at home. In fact, he motivated her to pursue her passion and asked her to participate in mainstream badminton tournaments.
