Shankar's I: First look revealed

Shankar has kick-started his next movie I in Chennai on Sunday (July 15) at a low-key ceremony held at a studio. The director has also launched the first look of the forthcoming movie starring Vikram.

The poster of I indicates that it is a romantic-thriller, as told by Shankar earlier. In the first look, we can see Vikram carrying his girlfriend on his shoulder and the red background makes us believe that it could be a violent love story. About the title of the movie, the director had earlier said, "I means beauty, king, guru, astonishment, vulnerability (softness/gentleness) etc."

Meanwhile, Shankar has reportedly roped in Amy Jackson to play the female lead after Samantha opted out of the movie citing date issues. It also features Santhanam, Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi, Ramkumar (Nadigar Thilakam Sivaji Ganesan's eldest son) and others in the cast.

The technical crew comprises of Oscar Award winner AR Rahman, cinematographer PC Sriram, costume designer of Men in Black series Mary Vogt, stunt directors Peter Ming of China and Anal Arasu, art director Muthuraj and editor Anthony.
