Shobana signed for Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan

Versatile actress Shobana has been signed to play an important character in Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan. The news has been confirmed by director Soundarya Rajinikanth.

The debutant director says that the actress-danseuse was the only choice for the role, as she wrote the character keeping Shobana in mind. But she refuses to give further details whether the actress would pair up with the superstar or what role she would be doing in Kochadaiyaan.

However, Soundarya Rajinikanth is happy that Shobana has given a green signal to act in Kochadaiyaan. The actress had earlier teamed up with the superstar in the films like Siva and Thalapathi.

Meanwhile, the pre-production works and casting process are in full swing. The movie is expected to hit the floors soon. Kochadaiyaan also features Sneha and Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif have been approached to play Rajini's love interest in the upcoming Tamil movie.
