Surya and Gautham
Menon's much-anticipated Thuppariyum Anandhan seems to
be finally getting ready to hit the floors. The delayed-project
will be reportedly launched in January 2013.
According to the latest buzz, Surya will be starting
Thuppariyum Anandhan soon after the completion of his
upcoming film Singam 2. Now that Gautham Menon's
Yohan: Adhyayan Ondru starring Vijay has been shelved, the
director, who is busy with Neethanae En Ponvasantham,
wants to start the project straight away in early 2013.
Thuppariyum Anandhan was earlier offered to Ajith Kumar
but the actor, who showed interest in the project in initial
stages, lost interest and walked out of the project. Later, Gautham
Menon, who had earlier worked with Surya in films like Kaakha
Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram, shared his unhappiness
over Thala and replaced him with the Ghajini star.
However, the movie is a detective-thriller set in 80s. It will
be an action adventure in a contemporary styled period film.
