Surya-Gautham Menon join hands for Thuppariyum Anand

The superhit combo of Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram are joining hands again! Yes, Gautham Menon has approached the actor for his long-pending project Thuppariyum Anand, which has been in cold storage for one or the other reasons since a few years, to play the role of a detective in the movie.

The filmmaker himself has admitted about teaming up with Surya again. However, he has not revealed any detail about the project, but claimed that they will be announcing it soon. The buzz says that they are joining hands for Thuppariyum Anand, a detective thriller, and it will take off once the filmmaker wraps up his other films: Yohan and Neethane En Ponvasantham.

Earlier, Gautham Menon had approached Ajith Kumar to play the lead role in Thuppariyum Anand a few years ago. However, the actor, who reportedly gave verbal consent to the film, lost interest in the film for the reasons best known to him and went on to do Venkat Prabhu's Mankatha.

However, the buzz also says that the makers of the film want to cast Deepika Padukone, but they have not approached her yet.
