Thuppakki stays strong at International Box Office

It has been a wonderful time for the movies that released during the six-day Diwali weekend, as the film has done good business. Tamil movie Thuppakki, despite facing a huge competition from other language movies, has remained strong at the International Box Office.

In its first weekend, Thuppakki has earned £1,34,280 (Rs. 1.18 crores) at the UK Box Office. The film, on its release day, collected £31,459 (approximately Rs 27.40 lacs) and ended the first three days by raking in Rs 62.32 lacs. The Vijay starrer film added Rs 56 lacs to its total on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The per screen average working out to £5,371 (4.69 lacs) at 25 screens in the UK region.

In the US, Thuppakki has collected $3,20,349 (Rs 1.76 crores) on 36 screens. The per screen average stands at $8,899 (4.88 lacs) and the Telugu version of the Vijay's film has earned Rs 8.46 lacs on nine screens.

In the Australia, Thuppakki has made A$66,520 (Rs 37.99 lacs) on 6 screens and the average per screen collection of the film stands out at A$11,087 (Rs 6.34 lacs).

Meanwhile, Thuppakki starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal has crossed the 40-crore mark and moving towards setting fresh records at the Tamil Nadu Box Office. The movie is directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu.
