Thuppakki to be rechristened!

The makers of Thuppakki seem to be finally ready to give up the title of the movie. The delay in the final judgement of the title issue has reportedly made the movie bosses to find an alternative name for the Vijay starrer movie.

The latest buzz says that the makers of the film have short-listed a few names among which Saravedi and Mumbai Thamizhan are hot favourites to be considered. A final decision on this is likely to be taken by this weekend.

The title issue broke out in June, when a newcomer Ravi Devan brought in an interim injunction accusing that Thuppakki and his movie Kallathuppakki titles sound similar. As the title of his movie was registered first, he has the right to use the title and the makers of the Vijay's film should not use Thuppakki in any form.

Since then, the issue has come up for hearing many times but the judgement has been delayed for one or the other reason. Thuppakki is directed by AR Murugadoss and it stars Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Gowda in the female lead roles. The movie will be release for Diwali.
