The theatrical rights of Vijay's Thuppakki has been sold for a whopping price. Sobha Rani of SVR Media has successfully won the bidding by quoting a huge price, which is said to be a highest-ever paid amount for a dubbed Tamil movie starring Vijay.
The amount circulating on the internet is Rs 15 crore, which has stunned the traders as the movies of Rajinikanth, Vikram and Surya only fetched such a huge price in the Tollywood market. Bigwigs like Bellamkonda Suresh owned Sai Ganesh Productions, Allu Aravind's Geetha Films, and Suresh Babu's Suresh Films were also in the race.
It is the second biggest film distributed by SVR Media after Kamal Hassan starrer Dasavatharam. It is also said that the AR Murugadoss factor played a major role, as his earlier films have done. It is noted that his Stalin starring Chiranjeevi was a blockbuster in Telugu.
However, Thuppakki starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal is an action-thriller produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu. It will hit the screens for Diwali and the audio will hit the stands in September.
