The
title
dispute
of
Vijay's
Thuppakki
and
Kallathuppakki
is
yet
to
settle
in
court,
the
delay
in
the
judgement
seems
to
have
not
gone
well
with
the
Ilayathalapathy
fans.
Well,
Ravi
Devan,
the
director
of
Kallathuppakki,
has
alleged
that
he
is
getting
threatening
calls
from
the
actor's
fans.
Ravi
Devan
has
said
that
he
has
got
over
150
calls
from
different
numbers
threatening
him
for
creating
troubles
for
Kallathuppakki
in
the
last
couple
of
days.
The
unknown
callers
are
threatening
to
kill
him
and
his
family.
As
a
result,
he
has
filed
a
complaint
on
Thursday
(August
30)
seeking
the
cops
for
protection.
The
controversy
came
to
light
in
June
first
week
after
Ravi
Devan
approached
the
court
claiming
that
the
title
of
the
Vijay's
upcoming
movie
sounds
similar
to
that
of
his
movie
and
the
logo
of
Thuppakki
has
resemblances
with
the
logo
of
Kallathuppakki.
The
similarities
would
lead
to
a
lot
of
confusion
to
the
audience
and
it
is
against
the
rule
of
the
film
chamber.
He
had
registered
the
title
in
2009
and
renewed
every
year
till
now.
Hearing
his
petition,
the
court
granted
the
interim
injunction
till
July
17
for
the
makers
of
the
film
from
using
the
title
Thuppakki
and
its
logo.
Later,
the
makers
of
Vijay's
film
filed
a
counter
affidavit
justifying
the
use
of
the
title.
However,
the
court
is
yet
to
deliver
the
judgement
and
the
case
has
now
been
postponed
till
September
10.
According
to
him,
his
movie
is
ready
for
censor
but
the
film
chamber
has
not
given
him
the
required
publicity
clearance.
