Vijay's
Nanban
will
be
completing
its
100
days
in
theatres
today
(April
20).
The
multi-starrer
movie
is
the
first
Tamil
film
to
score
a
century
in
the
current
year.
Nanban
was
released
in
over
450
screens
in
Tamil
Nadu
alone
on
January
12.
The
film,
which
opened
up
to
positive
reviews
from
critics
and
audience,
is
also
the
highest
grossing
movie
of
the
year.
It
is
said
that
the
film
has
collected
over
50
crores
till
date.
Meanwhile,
the
makers
of
the
film
have
organised
a
function
to
celebrate
the
100
day
mark.
It
will
be
held
at
Lady
Andal
school
auditorium
on
Saturday
(April
21)
in
a
grand
manner.
However,
the
film
will
be
aired
on
Vijay
TV
on
May
1.
Nanban
is
directed
by
ace
filmmaker
Shankar
and
produced
by
Gemini
Film
Circuit.
The
film,
starring
Vijay,
Ileana
D'Cruz,
Jeeva,
Srikanth
and
Sathyaraj
in
the
leads,
is
the
remake
of
Bollywood
film
3
Idiots.
It
has
Harris
Jayaraj's
music
and
Manoj
Paramahamsa's
cinematography
which
helped
to
add
technical
values
to
the
blockbuster
Kollywood
film.
