Vijay's Thuppakki teaser to release in July

Fans of Vijay might be disappointed to read this news, as the teaser of Ilayathalapathy's next film Thuppakki will not be released on the actor's 38th birthday (June 22). However, it will be released in the first week of July.

Director AR Murugadoss, who was bombarded with questions related to the release by the Vijay fans on Twitter, has clarified that the trailer will be released 10 days after the actor's birthday and requested them to cooperate with him. He wrote, "New releases and Vijay sir's bday make June 22 big. Thuppakki teaser wil come after 10 days. Pls bear with us."

It is said that the makers of Thuppakki took the decision thinking that the promotions may go unnoticed due to the releases of Ajith Kumar's Billa 2, which is releasing next week, and Saguni, which is hitting the screens this Friday (June 22). Hence, they decided to release the teasers and new posters in the first week on July.

Thuppakki is a gangster film set in the backdrop of Mumbai and centred around the life in the streets of the commercial capital. The film produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu also features Kajal Aggarwal, Vidyut Jamal, Akshara Gowda and others in the cast.
