has
been
sold
for
a
good
price.
ATMUS
Entertainment,
which
had
recently
distributed
Ajith
Kumar's
Billa
2
and
Surya's
Maattrraan,
has
bagged
the
rights.
Reports
say
that
many
others,
including
FICUS
and
GK
Media,
were
in
the
race
but
it
was
ATMUS
Entertainment
which
had
the
last
laugh.
FICUS
has
paid
a
whopping
amount
for
the
rights
and
it
is
said
to
be
the
highest-ever
paid
price
for
a
Vijay
film.
The
actor's
star
value
and
the
director's
success
rate
has
fetched
the
undisclosed
huge
price
for
the
distribution
rights.
However,
the
exact
price
paid
for
the
rights
has
not
been
revealed.
Thuppakki
will
hit
the
screens
worldwide
on
November
9.
In
Tamil
Nadu,
the
film
is
expected
to
release
in
450
screens.
It
is
an
action-thriller
directed
by
AR
Murugadoss
and
produced
by
Kalaipuli
S
Dhanu.
Thuppakki
features
Vijay,
Kajal
Aggarwal
and
Vidyut
Jamwal
in
the
leads.
The
movie
is
set
in
Mumbai,
and
Ilayathalapathy
plays
the
role
of
a
cop.
