The
troubles
for
Thuppakki
continues
as
the
hearing
of
Vijay's
Thuppakki
title
issue,
scheduled
in
a
Chennai
civil
court
on
July
19,
has
been
postponed
again.
The
next
hearing
will
be
on
July
25.
The
movie
was
dragged
to
court
by
director
Ravi
Devan
alleging
that
the
title
and
logo
of
the
Vijay
starrer
movie
share
resemblances
to
his
movie
Kallathuppakki,
thereby
bringing
an
injunction
order
for
the
usage
of
Thuppakki
title
in
any
form.
Reacting
to
his
petition,
the
court
granted
an
injunction
till
July
16.
The
hearing
on
July
16
was
postponed
to
July
19,
after
Kalaipuli
S
Dhanu
filed
a
counter
affidavit
denying
the
accusations
made
against
them
and
said
that
Thuppakki
and
Kallathuppakki
do
not
convey
the
same
meaning
and
the
comparison
should
not
be
drawn
between
the
titles.
"Thuppakki
means
a
licensed
weapon
and
Kallathuppakki
means
an
unlicensed
weapon," he
pleaded.
However,
the
makers
of
Thuppakki
are
hoping
for
a
positive
result
on
July
25,
as
the
trailer
launch
function
of
the
movie
has
gone
for
a
toss
following
this
controversy.
Vijay
and
Kajal
Aggarwal
starrer
movie,
directed
by
AR
Murugadoss
will
hit
the
screens
for
Diwali.
