Vikram recommended Amy Jackson for Shankar's I?

There were a lot of buzz on Amy Jackson's inclusion to the cast of Shankar's I starring Vikram. After Samantha opted out of the movie, Amy was surprisingly signed for the movie. This left the wagging tongues to claim that the Chiyaan asked the director to rope in the Madrasapattinam girl, who has paired him in upcoming Thaandavam.

However, Vikram has denied the reports and said that he has nothing to do with the cast, and Shankar is the man who takes the decision. The character demanded a London-based girl and the filmmaker choose the actress to enact one of the female leads in the movie, as she fits the bill, claims the actor. Earlier, it was said that Vikram, who is working with Amy in Thaandavam, was impressed and recommended her name.

Reports say that Amy Jackson has been paid a whopping price as a remuneration to act in I. The actress reportedly got Rs 75 lakhs to star in the movie. However, the forthcoming flick is a romantic-thriller, which has AR Rahman's music, PC Sriram's cinematography, also features Santhanam, Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi, Ramkumar (Nadigar Thilakam Sivaji Ganesan's eldest son) and others.
