In what could be a great feat for a Bollywood movie, Aamir Khan's most-awaited flick Dhoom 3 is creating a lot of buzz in Tamil Nadu, the market which has been only ruled by native films till recent years. The Hindi movie, with its dubbed Tamil version, is getting ready to have a wonderful reception in the state tomorrow (December 20).
Dhoom 3, which is distributed by Sathyam Cinemas in Tamil Nadu, is getting more than 150 screens in the state. It is said to be the biggest-ever release (in terms of screens) for a Hindi movie in the Tamil-speaking state. The distributor is leaving no stone unturned to make it a hit in the trade. As a result, the advance booking has got a stupendous response.
Some of the theatres in Chennai had started the advance booking on Wednesday (December 19) and in no time, the tickets have been sold. There was a huge demand for tickets from audience and the response stunned multiplexes, who are finding it difficult to meet the demand due to two big Tamil releases this weekend. Weekend Tickets Completed Sold
The tickets for the weekend has been completed sold for Dhoom 3 at multiplexes. Even for Monday (December 23), people have booked the tickets and 60 % tickets have already been sold.
Dhoom 3 Second Movie...
It is said that it is the second Hindi movie in the year after Chennai Express to have created such a craze in Tamil Nadu.
The credit for such response goes to Aamir Khan's popularity and the success of earlier movies from the Dhoom franchise.
Dhoom 3 is expected to affect a few Tamil movies like Karthi's Biriyani and Jeeva's Endrendrum Punnagai, which are also releasing on December 20.
Dhoom 3 is an action-thriller stylishly made by Vishal Krishna Acharya and produced by Yash Raj Films. Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra are in the lead roles.
