Ajith's Arrambam Not Laid Back
There were reports that Ajith Kumar's Diwali release Arrambam was lagging behind in booking screens for its release. But the movie bosses have rubbished it, as they have booked some of the prime screens for its release.

They have already booked Sathyam, Abirami, Mayajaal, AGS, PVR, Escape, Inox, Devi, Sangam, PVR, Woodlands, S2 Perambur, Udhayam, AV Rajeshwari, Barath and iDreams. More theatres will be confirmed in the coming days. What more could fans expect now? Meanwhile, the distribution rights of the movie except the NSC region has been sold.

Vijay's Jilla Shoot Almost Done
Young director Nesan has wrapped up the major part of the Jilla shoots within a short time frame. The filming has completed except for the five songs and two action sequences. The team will be now travelling to Bulgaria to shoot two of the songs from the flick.

The movie bosses want to complete the shoots soon. It means Jilla will be getting ready for the Pongal release. The promotions will take off in December. Continue reading on the slideshow to read more stories...

Santhanam Sings A Song

Santhanam had mouthed dialogues for some songs before. Now, he has turned singer with Nambiar. The song begins with the line, 'Aara amara ukandhu nanba'. Vijay Anthony has composed the music and Vivega has penned the lyrics.

The interesting part of the story is that the movie bosses had booked a studio to record the number for five hours but Santhanam completed the crooning in just 15 minutes.

All in All Azhagu Raja Single Released

A single from forthcoming Karthi's movie All in All Azhagu Raja has been released. The video-clip has started getting good response from audience on internet.

The complete audio of All in All Azhaguraja will be released soon. The movie features Karthi, Kajal Aggarwal, Santhanam and Radhika Apte in the lead roles.

Mani Ratnam Won't Launch Mohanlal's Son

Speculations were rife that maverick director Mani Ratnam was getting ready to launch Mohanlal's son Pranav. But now sources close to Mani has denied it.

It was said that Mani Ratnam, who launched Gautham Karthik in Kadal, the son of Karthik, and Thulasi Nair, the daughter of Radha, was planning to launch him in a bilingual film.

Vijay Sethupathi's Rummy First Look Launched

The first look of Vijay Sethupathi, who is basking in the success of Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, has been released. The movie also features Inigo Prabakaran, Gayathrie, Aishwarya and Soori in the cast.

It is a romantic entertainer set against a village backdrop. It is directed by Praveen Kumar and penned by K Balakrishnan. D Imman's has composed the music and Premkumar has handled the camera.

16 Vayathinile Trailer Launched

The trailer of the digitalized version of superhit movie 16 Vayathinile was released today (October 3). Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan and maverick director Bharathiraja launched the trailer.

16 Vayathinile starred Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan and Sridevi. The movie was originally released in 1977.

Four Releases Today

Tamil movie Nila Methu Kathal, Malayalam film Sringaravelan, Hollywood flicks Diana and Runner Runner are releasing today. These movies are competing with recently-released films like Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Onayum Attukuttiyum and Raja Rani. Along with those movies, Rajinikanth-Kamal Hassan's 1979 film Ninaithale Inikkum is re-releasing.
