Andrea Jeremiah Records Special Anthem For CIFF

Multifaceted Andrea Jeremiah has crooned a special song for the forthcoming Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF). She recorded the song recently for the event, which is scheduled to be held from December 12-19.

It is an anthem song of CIFF and the number will be released soon. Andrea Jeremiah sung the song for the lyrics penned by actress Rohini. Sources say that the song has come out very well.

According to E Thangaraj, festival director, CIFF, the track will be used for the film festival's promotions. The organisers have plans to release the song a few days before the start of the 11th edition of CIFF.

In the 11th edition, 180 films will be screened from 58 countries. This year's CIFF event is expected to be attended by actor-filmmaker Kamal Hassan and Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi.

The organisers have introduced 'Amitabh Bachchan Youth Icon Award' from this year as a token of respect to the Bollywood Megastar. "One young talent from the industry will be presented with this award. We will be bringing a special guest to give away this award," E Thangaraj claims.

The spotlight of this year will be on contemporary films from Turkey, Iran and Taiwan.
