Actress Anjali, who went missing on April 8, finally appeared before the cops. The actress has claimed that she took a break from her shooting schedule and was in Mumbai.
"She (Anjali) appeared before the police and made a statement saying that she wanted a break from her busy shooting schedules and stress and, therefore, had gone to Mumbai," said Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner of Police Sudheer Babu.
"I will start shooting for my films in two days," said Anjali on her return. She was accompanied by her brother Ravi Shankar and producer Suresh Kondeti when she appeared before the police.
Anjali went missing from a hotel room in Hyderabad after accusing her step mother, Bharati Devi, and Tamil director Kalanjiyam of harassment. She disappeared from her hotel room last Monday where she was staying with her uncle Suri Babu. According to hotel officials, she was last seen boarding a car outside the hotel.
Her step mother and director Kalanjiyam had rubbished her accusations and stated that they caused her no harm and were clueless about reported harassment charges.
Kalanjiyam also filed a defamation suit against Anjali on Tuesday for charging him with baseless allegations. Continue reading the news on the slideshow...
Step-mom Uses Her Like An ATM Machine
Earlier, the actress said that her step-mom and the director tortured her to hand over her hard-earned money to them. The actress had claimed that her step-mother treats her badly and uses her as an ATM machine.
Kalanjiyam - The Source Of All Problems
Anjali further added that Kalanjiyam advises her step-mother on her career matters and that created a lot of trouble. The director introduced her to Kollywood in ill-fated Sathamindri Mutthamidu, which did not see the light of the day.
The actress also expressed her fear that she would be attacked by them for coming up and speaking before the media. Soon after she made these claims, the actress went missing.
