As we all know, Deepika Padukone is the leading lady of Rajinikanth starrer multilingual movie Kochadaiiyaan. The Bollywood diva had given a nod to star in the movie without a second thought. Later, the same team started Kochadaiiyaan, a prequel to Rana, which was shelved for some reasons. But did you know who was approached before the offer knocked the doors of Deepika? Well, it is none other than Anushka Shetty!
Surprised right? The news has been revealed by none other than Anushka Shetty herself. The actress, who is awaiting the release of her prestigious Irandaam Ulagam, has spilled the bean over it in a promotional interview of her forthcoming movie. The Bangalore lass has said that she was supposed to work with the Tamil superstar, but could not take up due to her other commitments and she regrets it.
"Yes, I was supposed to work with him during the initial stages of Rana. When the talks were happening, I was shooting and couldn't give dates. I will always regret it," the Deccan Chronicle quotes the actress as saying.
