Ajith Kumar has proved once again that he is the King of Tamil Box Office. His latest movie Arrambam was released on Thursday (October 31) and it has made stunning collections on the opening day. Trader had expected the movie to do wonders at ticket counters with its advance booking taking a massive response by the Thala fans.
The credit for making the movie such a hit on the first day will undoubtedly go to Ajith Kumar's fans. Not only they thronged into theatres on the first day, but also ensured to publicise the film at every other platforms. Their craze has turned out to be a huge blessing for Arrambam as the film has got a thunderous opening at the Tamil Box Office.
The response for Arrambam has brought smiles on the faces of the makers of Arrambam. As per the trade sources, the Tamil movie now stands next to Rajinikanth's Endhiran when it comes to the first day collections at the Tamil Box Office. A trader says, "The Ajith Kumar starrer flick has made approximately Rs 8.75 crores on the release day. But the official confirmation is awaited."

Even Karnataka is also not lagging behind for Arrambam, as the Ajith Kumar's flick has made Rs 60 lakhs on the opening day.

Arrambam has collected around Rs 20 lakhs from other parts of India.
Dedicated Complete Screens
Coming back to Chennai, theatres like Mayajaal, AGS, Woodland Complex, Abhirami Mega Mall, Devi Complex, Udhayam Complex and many others had dedicated complete screens for Arrambam.
This factor played a crucial role in Arrambam first day collections. Those theatres had started the advance booking five days before the release. And with tickets being completely sold, this level of success was guaranteed.
A trader claimed recently, "The advance booking received amazing response. This was expected by the theatre owners. As a result, they started the booking as early as on October 26, five days before the release."
Success To Continue
"To cash in on the occasion, theatre owners increased the number of screens. The same success is expected to repeat today," the trader adds.
Currently, Mayajaal approximately had 91 shows on Thursday (October 31). Today, it will screen 81 shows.
AGS had 20 shows for Arrambam in Villivakkam on the release day. It is reportedly having 16 shows in OMR (Old Mahabalipuram Road).
Devi Complex (Devi, Devi Paradise, Devi Kala and Devi Bala) had 14 shows on release day and will have 10 shows today.
Udhayam Complex (Udhayam, Mini, Suriyan and Chandran) had 16 shows of Arrambam on its release day and will have the same even today.
Sangam Complex (Sangam, Padmam and Roopam) had 12 shows on the release day and will have 11 shows today.
Woodlands Complex (2 screens) had eight shows of Arrambam on the release day. It will have the same number of shows today.
Rest others like Abirami Mega Mall, Woodlands Complex and others are also having good number of screens dedicated for Arrambam.
