UTV
Motion
Pictures
has
won
the
battle
over
Purampokku
title
issue.
The
movie
directed
by
SP
Jhananathan
landed
in
trouble
over
the
movie
name
issue
when
a
cameraman
claimed
the
ownership
of
the
title.
However,
this
battle
was
taken
to
the
trader
bodies
and
the
verdict
has
come
in
the
favour
of
UTV.
Happy
man
G
Dhananjayan,
the
chief-south
of
Disney
UTV,
said
that
they
have
retained
the
title.
He
claims,
"There
were
speculations
about
whether
the
title
Purampokku
belong
to
us
or
not.
We
wish
to
clarify
that
the
title
is
retained
by
us
and
the
same
was
confirmed
by
South
Indian
Film
Chamber,
Tamil
Film
Producers
Council
and
Film
&
Television
Producers'
Guild."
"Hence,
no
more
confusion
and
we
retain
the
title
for
the
film
from
writer-director
SP
Jhananathan
as
Purampokku-
No
Man's
Land
starring
Arya
and
Vijay
Sethupathi," G
Dhananjayan
adds.
Cinematographer
Natraj
Subramaniam
had
earlier
claimed
that
he
had
already
registered
the
title
Purampokku
for
his
future
film,
and
he
did
not
give
permission
to
anyone
to
use
the
title.
He
had
also
threatened
to
take
legal
action
against
anyone
who
tried
to
use
the
title.
Talking
about
the
other
crew,
he
claimed,
"A
few
more
top
artistes
are
going
to
join
the
team
and
shall
keep
you
updated
along
with
the
entire
technicians
list
soon."
Purampokku,
which
is
in
the
pre-production
stage,
has
Ekambaram's
cinematography
and
VT
Vijayan's
editing.
