release
of
songs
from
upcoming
Tamil
black-comedy
thriller
Biriyani,
members
from
the
film's
unit
are
set
to
meet
Crime
Branch
-
Criminal
Investigation
Department
(CB-CID)
officials
Monday
to
press
for
immediate
action
against
those
responsible
for
the
leak.
The
audio
was
leaked
online
Aug
16,
two
weeks
ahead
of
its
official
launch
slated
for
Aug
31.
Biriyani
marks
the
100th
album
of
composer
Yuvan
Shankar
Raja,
and
he
is
extremely
upset
over
the
leak
of
the
songs
online.
Yuvan
tweeted,
"Upset
about
this,
but
good
to
see
where
the
worlds
heading,
whatever's
meant
to
be
will
be.
But
piracy
is
wrong."
Following
the
issue,
Director
Venkat
Prabhu
tweeted,
"It's
really
sad
and
unfortunate
biriyani
tracks
are
leaked
on
net!!
We
ve
been
trying
to
stop
it
from
morning!!
But
people
love
piracy!"
After
the
song
leakage
issue,
few
unknown
sources
said
that
this
is
the
publicity
stunt
from
the
crew
and
speculated
this
is
done
intentionally.
"On
Monday,
August
19,
actor
Karthi
Sivakumar,
music
composer
Yuvan
Shankar
Raja,
director
Venkat
Prabhu
and
producer
Gnanavel
Raja
will
meet
the
officers
at
CB-CID
office
regarding
Biriyani
songs
leak," said
a
statement.
