Krrish 3 Collection Rock Solid At TN Box Office

Bollywood movie Krrish 3 has emerged as a super winner at the Tamil Nadu Box Office. Despite facing a huge competition from local movies, the Hindi flick has made wonderful business here. This made the elated Hrithik Roshan's team to come to Chennai to thank the media and audience for giving such a massive response.

On Monday (November 11), Hrithik Roshan and his father-director Rakesh Roshan was in Chennai to attend the the meet-and-greet event. It was organised to celebrate the success of Krrish 3 at the Tamil Nadu Box Office. Released in just above 60+ screens, the Hindi movie managed to pull good number of audience to the theatres.

"I have never seen this kind of response for a Hindi film here. Our film released in Tamil Nadu with approximately 65 prints in the first week. In the second week, it was increased to about 90-odd prints," Rakesh Roshan said at the press meet.

"This shows the success of the film. Usually in the second week, the number of prints comes down but the reverse has happened in your state.," said the senior Roshan, who had accompanied his son along with cinematographer Tirru.

WIll Krrish 3 Collect 300 Crores?

"People have asked me - will Krrish 3 now enter Rs.300 crore club? And I told them that it's in your hands," he added.

Krrish 3 Faced The Heat Of Tamil Big Releases

In the opening week, Krrish 3 could not get required number of screens due to Tamil big releases. After much effort, it got only 60+ screens.

Positive Talks

But the positive talks around the movie made Krrish 3 to get additional 25+ screens in the next week. Very rarely, a movie gets additional screens in the following week.

Not only the Hindi version, but also the dubbed Tamil version has done well at the Box Office in the state. In the first week, the movie raked in 14.5 crores from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

Best Ever For A Hrithik Movie

It is said to be the best-ever collection for a Hrithik Roshan movie in Tamil Nadu. The exact collection of the film in this part of the world is not revealed. But it said that the film has raked in Rs 3 crores here.

Limited Capacity

Traders say that Krrish 3 was given such screens, which had limited capacity. But the only relief that came its way was the state government's permission to have five shows for single screens during the Diwali week.

In Tamil Nadu, Krrish 3 is distributed by Shibu Thameens. He is happy as the Hindi movie managed to survive the tough battle.

Hrithik Wants To Do A Tamil Movie

This success has made Hrithik Roshan to say that he would do a Tamil movie. "I have never received so much love outside my home and I'm overwhelmed about it. You guys have made my film successful and I'm touched by it and this proves that you have accepted me. I want to do a Tamil film for the love you have showered upon me," Hrithik told reporters here at an event.
