Deepika Padukone is ready to make her debut in Tamil film industry. The actress, who has became one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood, is now ready to rule the hearts of Kollywood audience. As we all know, the glamorous diva is entering the industry by pairing opposite none other than South superstar Rajinikanth in the movie, Kochadaiyaan.
The 27-year-old started her acting career in Kannada movie Aishwarya, which starred Upendra. But after her debut movie, she did not turn back at South movies. Now, she is returning to South with Kochadaiyaan. Deepika Padukone was signed to play the female lead in Rajinikanth's Rana, which was dropped following the superstar's ill health.
The project was delayed and eventually Rajinikanth decided to take up Kochadaiyaan directed by his daughter Soundarya Ashwin. She was roped in again for the new project. Though Deepika Padukone had date issues, the actress somehow managed to balance her dates as she wanted to work with the superstar of Kollywood.
Deepika Padukone was paid a huge paycheque to play the female lead role. She will reportedly be seen in the role of Vadhana Devi. The actress, who has a good role in the movie, reportedly wanted to dub her own voice in the movie. But the movie bosses felt that film's "chaste Tamil" would be a tad difficult for her.
