Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer Thalaivaa is all set to hit the big screen this week, on Friday, August 9. But now the movie is facing threat from anti-social elements, putting theatre owners in dilemma.
Latest buzz says that, some of the leading theatres in Chennai city which were set to screen Thalaivaa in their property have suddenly paused their advance booking. Devi, Kasi, Mayajaal, Sangam, Abirami and more theatres allegedly received threat from anti-social elements regarding possible violence.
Due to the threat, the theatre owners immediately stopped the advance booking process. Sources said that, there is still an uncertainty over the movie release. Producers are in the talk with theatre owners and expects the way for smooth release of the movie.
Vijay's last movie Thuppakki also came across many pre-release controversies, the crew were happy for Thalaivaa smooth moving, but the latest controversy have become a puzzle for them.
Meanwhile Vijay in his press statement clarrified that Thalaivaa is nothing to do with politics as miscreants claim. It is a complete family entertainer with all the ingredients of romance, comedy and action
In the present scenario, Thalaivaa is expected to release with high security to avoid any unfortunate happenings.
