Karthi, who is gearing up for his forthcoming movie Biriyani, seems to be not interested in Bollywood. While his counterparts are entering Hindi films one after the other, the Paiyaa star is not keen on making his debut in the leading film industry of India.
The actor has said that he knows popular filmmaker Anurag Kashap very well and the director had offered him a few movies in Hindi. But Karthi turned down the offers because he was not comfortable with the language.
Karthi said, "I've known Anurag Kashyap since the time I worked in Mani Ratnam's direction team. Anurag even offered me a couple of Hindi movies, but I was not inclined to do them, since I don't know the language (Hindi) or the culture." The actor points out that at this stage he is only interested in South films.
We have to note that Karthi's elder brother Surya had made his debut in Bollywood through Ram Gopal Varma's Rakta Charitra. His performance was well appreciated by audience and critics.
Meanwhile, Karthi is getting ready for the release of his much-awaited Biriyani. He has romanced Hansika Motwani in the Tamil flick. The movie is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Studio Green.
