Karthika Joins Purampokku Cast!

Karthika isn't seen after her first Tamil movie Ko, which was one of the superhits of 2011. The actress had kept herself busy with other language projects. Now, the stage seems to be ready for her return, as she has been approached to play the female lead role in forthcoming flick Purampokku.

Sources have said that the movie bosses of Purampokku have offered the project to Karthika. The movie starring Arya and Vijay Sethupathi will only have one female lead and the movie bosses chose her for the role. We have to note that many girls had participated in the audition to choose the female lead for the film.

Karthika has reportedly given her verbal consent to Purampokku and she is likely to join the shoots of the forthcoming flick from January 2014. Speaking to a leading daily, she has said that the makers of the film have approached her but she has not signed on the project yet.

Purampokku is directed by SP Jhananathan and produced by UTV Motion Pictures. The film has Yuvan Shankar Raja's music, Ekambaram's cinematography and VT Vijay's editing. The first schedule of Purampokku will commence from January in Kulu Manali.
