Nayantara, the most wanted actress of South film industry, has been cautiously taking up offers to retain the 'number one' status in South films. The actress, who returned to films after her break up with Dancing Sensation Prabhu Deva, signed quite a few films that offered her to showcase her talents. As we all know, she choose a Telugu film Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum for her comeback flick and tasted success. She also gave a nod to Ajith Kumar's Valai, AR Murugadoss produced Raja Rani, Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal along with some Telugu projects.
The interesting part of the story is that Nayantara gave green signal for an item number. Yes, Nayantara agreed to do the special number in forthcoming Tamil film Ethir Neechal, which is produced by Dhanush. The actor requested her to shake legs for the song and the Billa girl, without a second thought, accepted the offer. It is said that her friendship with the 'Kolaveri di...' hitmaker made her to take up the assignment. Well, the song was picturised soon after she agreed to do. The song, which begins with the line 'Sathiyama Nee...', was shot two months ago in Nagercoil. A special set was erected for the track, which was shot on Nayantara, Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan.
Initially, the director had plans to shot the song on Dhanush but later they thought that a female would make it a colourful track. Hence, they approached Nayantara.
Baba Bhaskar choreographed the track, which is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and the song has come out well. The director hopes that the audience too would appreciate the number.
However, Ethir Neechal stars Sivakarthikeyan, Priya Anand and Nandita in the lead roles. The film is expected to hit the screens in the last week of April.
