The three-day controversial drama of Nazriya Nazim and Naiyaandi makers have come to an end with the actress giving green signal for the release of the flick. On Wednesday (October 9), she watched the movie and withdrew the complaint against the makers of the movie.
After watching the Tamil movie, Nazriya Nazim said that Naiyaandi doesn't have any objectionable scene. Hence, she has withdrawn the complaint. "I am convinced that none of the scenes with the body double have been used in the film. So I have no more grievance with the producer or the release of the film," said Nazriya.
There were reports that Nazriya Nazim created unnecessary controversy and it was just a publicity stunt. The actress denied it and claimed that it was due to miscommunication. However, it appeared like both the parties have not forgotten the incident and there was a kind of uneasiness between the producer and the actress at the press meet.
It has to be noted that the director Sarkunam was not present at the special screening of Naiyaandi. Producer Kathiresan had arranged a special screening of Naiyaandi in a hush-hush manner fearing that the movie would be banned from release. Continue reading the story on the slideshow...
Nazriya Nazim Watched Naiyaandi With Family
Nazriya Nazim watched the film with her family members. She was happy with the end results.
The controversy broke out on Sunday (October 6), when the actress expressed her unhappiness over a particular scene in Naiyaandi.
She filed a complaint against the makers of Naiyaandi alleging that they shot an intimate scene using a body double without her permission.
Nazriya also met Chennai Police Commissioner on October 8 and filed a complaint, which claimed that director Sarkunam vowed that the filmmaker would bring disrepect to her community.
A scene where the hero touches the navel of the heroine did not go well with Nazriya Nazim as it projected she was part of the intimate scene with Dhanush.
However, Naiyaandi is now ready for the release. It will hit the screens tomorrow (October 11). The movie stars Dhanush and Nazriya Nazim in the lead roles.
