The moment the controversial spot fixing episode of IPL (Indian Premiere League) broke out, actresses, who were linked with cricketers became a matter of debate in cine circles. Notable among them is none other than Lakshmi Rai. The actress, who had earlier been linked up with many cricketers including Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, was earlier seen with tainted Sreesanth, who was arrested last week by Delhi police for his alleged involvement in IPL spot-fixing. It was also earlier reported that they were dating.
Well, Lakshmi Rai, who had earlier denied that she was seeing Sreesanth, has claimed that she has no connection with the cricketer. According to her, the last time she spoke to him was three years ago. And she wonders why her name is now unnecessarily connected with him. This will affect her personal life and reputation. Hence, she requests not to link her name with him any more.
"It's been three years since I spoke to him, so why is my name being unnecessarily dragged. This will affect my reputation and personal life, since I'm seeing someone, so please keep me out of it," the Deccan Chronicle quoted Lakshmi Rai as saying. She claims that she is not even involved in the IPL after the first edition.
