Pizza 2 Set For Release

Pizza was one of the superhits of 2012, in fact, it was a sleeperhit. Following the success of the flick, a movie on the same franchise was announced. This time, the project will not be helmed by Karthik Subbaraj, but by Deepan Chakravarthy.

Pizza 2: Villa was earlier announced by Vaibhav Reddy and Sanchita Shetty in the lead roles. But the hero was replaced and Ashok Selvan was roped in for some reasons. The rest of the cast from Pizza has been retained. While Ashok plays the role of an aspiring writer, the actress will be playing the character of a Christian girl.

It has to be noted that Pizza 2: Villa is not a sequel to Pizza. The makers of the movie have just carried forward the Pizza franchise by associating it with the title of the flick.

The forthcoming movie has Santhosh Narayanan's music. He has composed six tracks for which Ganesh Kumar and Arun Raja have penned the lyrics. While Deepak Kumar has handled the cinematography department, Leo John Paul is the editor.

Pizza 2: Villa is distributed by Sun Pictures. The movie will hit the screens on November 14. The upcoming Tamil flick is produced by CV Kumar and directed by techie-turned-director Deepan Chakravarthy.
