Kajal Aggarwal, in the recent years, seems to have become controversy's favourite child. Couple of her interviews given after she bagged Bollywood projects, garnered a lot of criticism from the South film industries.
Firstly, her statement on regional film industry was miss quoted that she never considered herself as a South actress. The Mumbai lass narrowly escaped from being banned from the Tamil and Telugu film fraternity last year. And her recent comment that compared the working style of Tamil and and Telugu film industries irked many.
Speaking to the Times of India, Kajal Aggarwal has said that there is a difference between Telugu and Tamil films. The actress finds that women are respected well in Tollywood than Kollywood. According to the actress, who delivered blockbuster Thuppakki starring Vijay and hit Maattrraan with Surya last year, Tamil film industry cares only about heroes and they treat them like a god.
"I prefer the Telugu film industry as women are respected more than they are in the Tamil film industry. In Tamil cinema, they care only about their hero, who is God. Of course, I don't give a shit and go and sit in my van," The TOI quoted the actress as saying. The actress' statement is likely to spark controversy considering that the actress was only part of two biggies - Maattrran and Thuppakki - in the recent years.
