A source close to the film says, "Obviously if Shahrukh is giving a tribute to Rajinikanth, due permissions have been taken. We hear that Rajinikanth sir has blessed the song and given a nod to it."

The song will be a tribute to Rajinikanth. Shahrukh Khan and Honey Singh are confident that it will impress Rajini fans across the world.

Shahrukh Khan believes, a film titled Chennai Express would be literally incomplete without a mention of superstar Rajinikanth.

Lungi dance song is written, composed and sung by Honey Singh and choreographed by veteran choreographer Chinni Prakash. Chennai Express is directed by Rohit Shetty, and it also features Deepika Padukone in the lead role. The movie is scheduled to releases on Aug 9.
