Dhanush says it is easier to impress his father-in-law and superstar Rajinikanth than his wife Aishwarya. He got married in 2004 to superstar's daughter. "It was easy for me to convince Rajini sir. Just be a nice human being and he will like you."
"The good part was he liked my work, films," Dhanush said at a promotional event of his Bollywood debut film Raanjhanaa, recently.
The actor said it is not easy to impress his wife Aishwarya, and he is still trying hard. "I think it is not easy to impress a girl, especially with the looks that I have. It is quite tough," Dhanush said. The actor is quite upbeat about his Raanjhanaa which marks his acting debut in Hindi films.
The film carries a scene, in which Dhanush is seen taking a bullet between his teeth, which reminds one of a similar scene in a Rajinikanth film. When asked about the same, Dhanush says, "He is a great actor. We all worship him. People are influenced by him...I did not do that scene thinking about his style...I will make sure I don't repeat it." Continue reading the story on the slideshow...
It was the script that made Dhanush choose Raanjhanaa as his Bollywood debut. "I did not see this film as Tamil, Hindi or Telugu. I did it because I liked it," he said.
"I was not that much comfortable with the language...it was tough. It was not easy for me to do it but things fell into place and it all happened," he added.
Dhanush is also a playback singer, lyricist and producer, mainly in Tamil cinema. He started his career with film Thulluvadho Ilamai directed by his father Kasthuri Raja in 2002 and since then he has worked in over 28 Tamil films.
The actor even won the National and Filmfare awards for best actor for his performance in Tamil film Aadukalam. Meanwhile, he is also working in Tamil film Mariyaan produced by Aascar Ravichandran.
