Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone starrer Tamil period-drama Kochadaiyaan will be unveiled at the forthcoming Cannes International Film Festival in May. The Tamil superstar himself will be present at the event.
"We will launch the trailer of Kochadaiyaan at the Cannes film festival," Amita Naidu, vice president, PR Eros, told IANS. Directed by Soundarya Ashwin, daughter of Rajinikanth, the film is India's first movie filmed in motion-capture technology, along the lines of Avatar and Tin Tin.
"Rajini sir will be present at the festival to unveil the trailer of Kochadaiyaan," the film's spokesperson told IANS. The film also features Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Shobana and R Sarath Kumar. It is jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment. However, the post-production work of the film is underway currently.
The Cannes film fest is scheduled between May 15 and May 26. Besides Rajinikanth, megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be present at the event to promote his Hollywood film The Great Gatsby, set to open movie extravaganza.
