Rajinikanth's reaction on Sanjay Dutt's jail sentence

Rajinikanth has reacted over the Supreme Court's verdict on Sanjay Dutt, who has been sentenced to five years imprisonment. The Tamil superstar has said that he is very disturbed at the hearing of the judgement announced on Thursday (March 11).

In a press release, Rajinikanth has said that he was disturbed when the verdict was announced. Sanjay Dutt is a good human being and he is a good friend of him. But he hopes a positive outcome from the pardon plea and prays to god that Sanju Baba spend his rest of life peacefully.

Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to six year jail term by a TADA court in the 1993 blasts case. Dutt was sentenced to six years in jail for illegal possession of 9 mm pistol and an AK-56 rifle by the trial court. However, he was also acquitted of more serious terror charges under the Terrorists and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act.

Rajinikanth and Sanjay Dutt had a good time in January when the Bollywood star had visited his house. The latter had spent more than four hours at his Pose Garden residence.
