Shahrukh Khan seems to be getting closer to Tamil audience over the years. It was all started after his Ra.One. He had played the role of a Tamilian named Shekhar Subramanium. The Bollywood star had roped in superstar Rajinikanth to do a cameo and this factor generated a good audience for the movie in Tamil Nadu where hardly Hindi films used to do well at the Box Office. Also during the making of the movie, he had asked his co-star Kareena Kapoor to mouth Tamil words for one of the popular songs in the movie.
Now, Shahrukh Khan has done something similar in forthcoming
movie Chennai Express. Well, the actor,
who cautiously works to give a perfect look to his products, asked
his co-star Deepika Padukone to learn Tamil
accent. She will be seen in the role of a Tamil ponnu in the
forthcoming Hindi movie. "Deepika is Konkani, so she found it
easier to learn the Tamil accent, but Shahrukh still insisted that

Deepika Watched Tamil Movies
In order to be perfect in her accent, Shahrukh Khan asked
Deepika Padukone to watch a lot of Kollywood movies, which could
help her to know the nuisance of the language.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone has also confirmed that Shahrukh
helped Deepika learn the language. In fact, he got her a few
Kollywood movies and made her to watch those films.
Deepika says, "Working with him is always fun and a learning
experience. In this movie, he helped me out with my Tamil accent.
He showed me Tamil films and made me hear the accent carefully.
