Shanthanu is angry on KLTA unit

Santhanam, Power Star Srinivasan and Sethu's Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya is doing wonders at Box Office and has emerged as the first winner of 2013. However, on the other end, the film is in trouble over ripping off the story from Bhagyaraj's Indru Poi Naalai Vaa.

The makers of the film at the last minute feared trouble coming their way and decided to give credit to K Bhagyaraj on the title card. Actor and the son of Bhagyaraj, K Shanthanu is not happy with just a name on the title card and is expecting some monetary compensation.

Shanthanu had posted on Twitter, "Don't you take credit for somethin which was CONCEIVED and WRITTEN by someone else !! Respect Hardwork.. and learn to RESPOND. You people say that YOU have conceived the concept and story? Its a RIP off !! you've done it and better ACCEPT it!"

To add fuel to fire, Shanthanu is upset with the some reports claiming that the makers of Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya have given compensation for using the story. Reacting to it, he wrote, "To all the press and media who follow actors on Twitter, no compensation has been paid for taking my dad's Indru poi naalai Vaa script.. all rumours. Not gonna let it pass unnoticed. Case is going on.. but I just want the people to know what's been happening because they're spreading rumours that we have been compensated."
