When it comes to the hero, Simbu is the first choice, say reports. The actor is impressed by the storyline and the deal is expected to happen next month. It has to be noted that Silambarasan had crooned the song 'Bujji pilla' in Potugadu, which starred Manchu Manoj Kumar, Sakshi Chodhary, Simran Kaur and Rachel in the key roles.

However, Govindaya Namaha was directed by Pawan Wadeyar, who directed the Telugu version of the movie too. The original featured Komal Kumar, Parul Yadav, Madhulika and Rekha in the lead roles.
