Singam 2 - Movie Preview: Surya back in action
After three years, tough cop Surya aka Duraisingam is all set to rock the silver screen again with Singam 2, which is the sequel of his 2010 hit movie Singam. The Hari-Surya's combo has given the remarkable hits in the Kollywood and their success rate has soared up the viewers' expectation about Singam 2 to sky high. It has to be seen whether Surya and Hari combo work for fourth time.
In Singam, Surya played a role of the village Cop (Duraisingam), who rebels against the notorious Chennai underworld don and extortionist Mayil Vaganam (Prakash Raj), who will be having the biggest network in kidnapping, involving in harsh real estate activities all over the Tamil Nadu. Surya acts as the invited problem and chops off Prakash Raj's network. The film ends with Surya taking the mission of doing undercover operation under the special interest of Chief Minister and Home Minister.
In Singam 2, though major changes have been made, Surya and Anushka Shetty will remain lead role. Hansika Motwani, Santhanam and Hollywood baddie Danny Sapani will be seen. Keeping every class of audience in mind, director Hari has come up with an item number with South Indian actress and model Anjali. The plot of Singam 2, which the makers have kept under wraps, has created curiosity among the movie buff. Much awaited Singam 2 is expected to be the all round entertainer for Tamil audience and Surya fans.

Devi Sri Prasad - Music Director Singam 2
The music of Singam was a chartbuster. But when compared to it, the music of its sequel is not upto the mark. Music director Devi Sri Prasad has failed to keep the audience to tuned in. He had scored music for the combo's early hits Aaru (2005) and Singam (2010). The music of its prequel covered all the class of people, but he failed to influence the local audience.
Director Hari And Surya Combo Back For Fourth Time
Director Hari, has retained the same technical team, which contributed their best part for the duo's success in early days.
Surya And Anushka In Singam 2
Cinematographer Priyan has the footage of the flick shot in Kerala, Tuticorin, Chennai, Hyderabad, Tirunalveli and Karaikudi. The songs and few stunts are shot in overseas like Durban, Cape Town, South Africa, Kenya and Malaysia. The movie is edited by VT Vijayan, who worked as an editor for duo's early hits.
Hansika Motwani In Singam 2
South Star Hansika Motwani is added for the sequel, but the role of Hansika has not been revealed any where by the movie makers.
Danny Sapani To Lead Antogonist Role In Singam 2
After the encounter of Mayil Vaganam, Duraisingam is ready to lock his horns with the Hollywood baddie Danny Sapani. Danny Sapani is playing the role of an African convict.
Surya In Singam 2
With U certification from the Censor Board, Singam 2 is all set to hit the screens tomorrow. The movie will be released in more than 2,400 screens all over the world in Tamil and Telugu languages. It should be seen whether it will live upto the expectations of viewers.
