Vadivelu, who ruled the hearts of the Tamil audience with his comic acts in the last two decades, is turning a year older today (October 10). He is celebrating his 53rd birthday in a simple manner.
The slapstick comedian has kept a low-profile ever since the last general assembly elections. The actor had supported the DMK government and with his supporting party losing the election, Vadivelu kept himself out of media glare.
Adding to that his comments on some stars in Tamil Nadu did not go well with the industry men. As a result, he is not seen much in movies. Vadivelu has only one movie in his hand. Jagajala Pujabala Thenaliraman is his next movie directed by Yuvaraj.
Vadivelu has acted in over 350 movies till date. He made his debut with En Rasavin Manasiley (1989) directed by Kasthoori Raja. But it was Kadhalan in 1994 that brought him under the limelight. Some of his most famous movies are Bharathi Kannamma, Vetri Kodi Kattu, Winner and Chandramukhi.
The comedian has worked with almost all the big stars of his times. Vadivelu has also worked with some of the big directors of Tamil film industry.
